What product discovery looks like inside a chat thread
How catalogues, recommendations and questions can move a customer from browsing to a completed order without leaving WhatsApp.
Product discovery on a website relies on search bars and filters. Inside a chat, it relies on questions, a customer describing what they want in their own words, and getting a direct answer rather than a list of results to sort through themselves.
Sharing a catalogue or specific product directly in the conversation keeps the customer from having to switch to a website mid-conversation, where intent is easiest to lose. Recommendations that reference what the customer just asked about tend to convert better than generic best-seller lists.
The conversation format also makes it natural to ask a clarifying question (size, colour, budget) before recommending anything, which a static product page can't do.
